Grants Requested for 2010 1. 2010 Low Income Senior/Disabled Defensible Space Assistance, Priority 1 of 16, $166,300; 150 target homes approved 2. 2010 Community Roadside Chipper Program, Priority 2 of 16, $97,300, 80 target acres. approved 3. 2010 River Pines Watershed and Fire Protection, Priority 3 of 16, $126,800; 300 target homes, two part project: clean up trash and hazards in town, followed by brush clearance. approved 4. 2010 Shake Fiddletown Co-op Fuel Reduction, Priority 4 of 16, $377,095; 307 acres. This project was developed at the annual interagency coop meeting we host at the CYA camp in December. 5. 2010 Upper Amador Egress/Ingress; Priority 5 of 16; $201,500; target brush clearing 10 feet both sides of 30 acres (15 miles) of residential roads Pine Grove east. 6. Amador Emergency Services Guide, Priority 6 of 15, $60,630 with a $3220 soft match from Amador County; Hardcopy and digital forms: 150 copies for distribution to all emergency providers in the county and an additional 25 guides for loan during mutual aid events. 7. 2010 Mitchell Mine Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 7 of 16; $118,490; 98 acre shaded fuel break on BLM lands bordering Mitchell Mine Road, Moonlight Ridge, Pine Grove Elementary School. 8. 2010 Lupe/Red Hill Road Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 8 of 16; $106,490; 80 acre shaded fuel break on private lands. 9. 2010 CEQA and NEPA Planning Grant, Priority 9 of 16, $104,500. Hire a consultant to write environmental reports on 3000 target acres identified in the county CWPP. By developing these reports ahead of time, we will save time and money on later projects because the work will already be done. Some funders are requiring that the environmentals be completed before the application is submitted. 10. 2010 Homestead Road Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 10 of 16; $67,965; 50 acre shaded fuel break on private land. 11. 2010 Community Planning, Education, and Outreach in the Wildland/Urban Interface, Priority 11 of 16; $100,000; develop plans and implement educational and outreach programs for residents living in the WUI. 12. 2010 Buckhorn Ridge Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 12 of 16; $131,215; shaded fuel break on 100 acres of BLM land bordering the residential area along Buckhorn Ridge Road. 13. 2010 Antelope Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 13 of 16, $78,899; 50 acres private land shaded fuel break connector to existing Antelope breaks. 14. 2010 River Pines Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 14 of 16, $85,640; 60 acres private land shaded fuel break surrounding the town of River Pines. 15. 2010 Phase 2 Pine Acres Fire Safe Plan, Priority 15 of 16; $69,690; resubmission of 2009 concept paper for herbicide treatment on previous project from 2005. 16. 2010 Fiddletown Shaded Fuel Break, Priority 16 of 16; $86,600.
